Members of Therapy Newsletter are entitled to an 'area exclusive' license (which is currently included in all membership plans), designed to minimize competition between Therapy Newsletter members and maximize the effectiveness of the marketing system. The definition of area exclusivity means: |
a) A geographical area spanning 5 miles east and west, with the clinic located at the center of the 5 mile line becomes the 'exclusive area' of the license holder (restrictions apply, as mentioned in 'c' below)
b) No other clinic within this exclusive area will be sold the system. In the event that our system inadvertently accepts their membership, the new member will be informed of the conflict and refunded in full, or moved to another territory outside of the 'exclusive area' already occupied by an existing member.
c) The 5 mile radius is contingent on a population density below 10000 individuals per square mile. The population density is calculated by dividing the population by the land area so that it represents the number of people living in one square mile of land area. In areas of population density exceeding 10000 individuals per square mile, which includes major metropolitan cities like Manhattan, West Hollywood, San Fransisco, Chicago etc, as represented on this page, the 'exclusive area' is reduced to 1 mile with the clinic located at the center of the 1 mile line. |
